Homemade Peppermint Bark

Homemade Peppermint Bark

1 bag Ghirardelli milk or semi sweet chocolate chips!

1 bag Ghirardelli white chocolate chips

1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

½ tsp peppermint extract (optional)

1 dash of sea salt

Crushed candy cane!

*if you want it to be extra pepperminty add a 1/2 tsp peppermint flavoring (optional)

Directions:

Fill a sauce Pan or small pot, with water. Bring it to a simmer or low boil and place a heat safe bowl over top, add in your white chocolate chips, stir occasionally while they melt.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Once your white chocolate is melted, pour the white chocolate into small sections across the parchment paper. Using the same bowl, now melt your milk or semi sweet chips, add in the vanilla & salt. Continue to stir occasionally while it melts. (If you are adding peppermint flavoring you can add that in now too)

Once your chocolate is all melted, pour onto the parchment paper in small areas as well!

  • Using a fork run it through the chocolate, spreading it across the pan and combing the chocolates, making it look like a marbled effect! Sprinkle with crushed candy cane and set in the fridge until fully cooled and hard. Remove from fridge and break it into pieces. Enjoy right away or continue to store it in an airtight container in the fridge! This recipe makes one cookie sheet!! I promise using Ghirardelli chocolate will make it that much better!!
